Jean-François Theodore Gechter, French sculptor, born in Paris in 1795, died in Paris on 11 December 18441. A pupil of François Joseph Bosio and Baron Gros, as Antoine-Louis Barye, he is famous for his bronzes.
His first exhibition was held in 1824, was focused on classical and mythological subjects
