Auguste DURST was a pupil of Bonnat, he often went to practice in the open air, he rented a farm in the region of Saint Vaast; In love with nature, with the land and with the peasants who cultivate it, one discovers in his paintings a multitude of animals on two legs of the family of the gallinacés, he loved and had a fascination for chickens and turkeys!
