Our painting is a slightly smaller replica of the painting done by Ziem 3 years old in the screen for the 1852 salon under number 1272, he was then 31 years old!
This 178x260cm work was purchased by the Luxembourg Museum in 1853, at the Louvre in 1929 and in New York in 1955 but currently no longer exists.
